Details
Based on the novels by Mary Higgins Clark.
Synopsis : Box set collection of five made-for-television features based on the novels by Mary Higgins Clark. In 'A Crime of Passion' (2003), when Freddie DuMay (Cynthia Gibb) holds a glamorous party at her family's vineyard to announce the release of a fabulous new Merlot, everything is going wonderfully - until her business partner's wife Constance is found dead. But when Constance's distraught husband, Thomas Shipman (Tom Butler), quickly sets up home with his mysterious French assistant Arabella (Alexandra Kamp), Freddie realises that Constance's death may not be as innocent as first thought. In 'Before I Say Goodbye' (2003), the life of a successful magazine writer is torn apart when her husband is killed by a massive explosion aboard his boat - but little does she know that the killer's agenda is only half complete. In 'Try to Remember' (2004), when criminologist Lisa Monroe (Gabrielle Anwar) returns to her hometown of Milford to join the local police force, she finds that her 15 years away have not healed the painful scars of her best friend's brutal murder - especially when people with a connection to past events start to disappear. In 'The Cradle Will Fall' (1987), when Westlake County Prosecutor Kate DeMaio (Lauren Hutton) is asked to investigate the apparent suicide of a pregnant woman, all the evidence points to a tragic accident, and the case is closed. But when more locals in the small mid-western city are found dead, Kate begins to fear that a serial killer is on the loose. Finally, in 'I'll Be Seeing You' (2004), when Private Investigator Patricia Collins (Alison Eastwood) is called to the scene of a murder, she is not expecting to see her bloodied mirror image lying before her. But it is not just the shocking appearance of her surprise 'twin' that Patricia has to deal with - she is also faced with a costly legal battle to clear her dead father's name.
