Synopsis : An aged piano teacher working in a prison faces her toughest test as she tries to tame a violent prisoner with a prodigious talent. While working in German prisons for many years, piano tutor Traude Kruger (Monica Bleibtreu) has had to deal with a variety of difficult personalities, but when she comes across Jenny (Hannah Herzsprung), a violent inmate with a ferocious temper, she thinks she's finally met her match. Her preconceptions are shattered, however, when she finally hears Jenny play, realising that she possesses an extraordinary musical talent. As she attempts to coax her new student back into a life of music, her efforts are continually thwarted by Jenny's aggressive behaviour - a hangover from an abusive childhood - that threatens to push her further down a bleak institutional path.
